The Wound Healing Center at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children's Hospital provides full-service, quality wound care for adults and children in Los Angeles County and Orange County. Board-certified surgeons, wound specialist physicians and registered nurses certified in wound care oversees all patients treated at the Wound Healing Center. The center’s team has more than 30 years of experience and also draws upon the many resources of other specialists throughout Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.

If you have a sore or wound that is not significantly better in a month, or healed entirely in two months, you should ask your doctor about a referral. Our multidisciplinary teams of dedicated specialists are experienced in managing complex and limb-threatening wounds. The centers use the most up-to-date approaches to heal wounds and remain current in the latest scientific advances in wound care.

 

Comprehensive Wound Care with a Multidisciplinary Approach

Practicing a multidisciplinary approach, rather than relying on any one service or therapy, the Wound Healing Centers’ physicians and registered nurses perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations. We then develop an individualized treatment plan incorporating the appropriate services and therapies. These plans are shared with patients’ primary care or referring physicians who remain active members of the wound healing team.

Insurance Information

Most health insurance plans will pay for treatment at the Wound Healing Center. Patients’ individual insurance coverage will be reviewed prior to evaluation and the administrative staff will assist in obtaining approval, if required.
